What We Stand For:
The general public idea of “Pain management” in its current forms (pills, injections, and surgery) is even more detrimental. Pain management can be a wonderful relief when it is applied to the right situation for the right amount of time. Unfortunately, these treatments are mistaken for a solution, which is a dangerous misunderstanding that has now become an epidemic.
Pain management does a good job of masking the pain itself, but that doesn’t eliminate the mechanical stress that is causing pain. If you do not eliminate the stress, the body will keep producing pain to alert you that something is wrong, and the problem gets worse as it goes untreated. Pain is actually important – it’s your body’s request for change. Pain pills and injections silence the call, which is not a long term solution.

SOFT TISSUE MOBILIZATION
Through the demands of activities of daily living and previous injury, our muscles become stiff, dense, and fibrotic. This disables them from absorbing and adapting to stress, which in its simplest form is movement. This means your once favorite activities become insurmountable tasks. Soft tissue mobilization allows for rehydration, increased blood flow, increased temperature and elimination of adhesions in all the tissues (muscles, ligaments, tendons, fascia, etc) of the body. This means that you will once again be able to be more water-like, and less solid-like.

JOINT
MOBILIZATIONMuscles attach to bones, and bones meet together to create joints. Once we can restore function to the muscles we focus on reorienting the joints. Just like any other structure if a joint is out of alignment (think a poorly positioned door hinge) pain and dysfunction will occur. We will NOT address the joint(s) that hurt, we will look at the joint(s) that are causing the pain, aka address the "why" not the "where".

NEUROMUSCULAR RE-EDUCATION
This is the final and most important pillar of our recovery process. Through the previous strategies, we eliminate the restrictions suppressing your movement quality, now we can enhance said quality. We perfect fundamental movements of daily living; squatting, lunging, hinging, pushing, pulling, carrying, and rotating. These are all essential to alleviate your pain and operate at your highest level. Walking, running, golfing, and playing with your kids and/or grandkids are right within reach.
